에밀 우르바넥은 사회적 통념과 경계를 해체하며, 아치형의 테두리 또는 그것과 유비를 이루는 도상의 윤곽을 활용해 틀을 형성하고 그 안에 정체가 불분명한 대상들을 배치한 회화를 선보인다. 특유의 투명한 막과 흐릿하게 번진 흑연 자국은 화면의 긴장감과 유희를 조성한다.
Emil Urbanek deconstructs traditional social values by utilizing arched borders and the outlines of figures that subtly reference these values, thereby establishing a framework within which ambiguous subjects are situated. The application of transparent color layers, combined with the delicate sprinkling of sifted graphite powder on primed canvases, creates a dynamic interplay of tension and visual intrigue within the composition.
